Smiling Fore Life

Smiling Fore Life is a program created by the Georgia PGA Foundation to bring golf to local children’s hospitals throughout Georgia. The program has Georgia PGA Professionals regularly visit the hospitals bringing the game of golf into the young patients' lives. This program affords children with an opportunity to forget about their challenges and enjoy a fun activity. The program is currently at hospitals in Atlanta and Savannah.

Foundation Classic

Please join in the fall of 2017 us to celebrate golf in Georgia as the Georgia PGA Foundation tees it up at beautiful Athens Country Club. Founded in 1926, it is widely regarded as the finest private Club in Northeast Georgia. The club has a highly regarded 27-hole golf course with the original 18 having been designed by Donald Ross. Athens Country Club has hosted numerous state and regional tournaments, including six State Amateurs.

Travel for Charity

The objective is to raise money for the Georgia PGA Foundation by allowing golf club members to purchase trips from a portfolio of golf and entertainment experiences. Proceeds from each trip go directly to the Georgia PGA Foundation. Sports Images International provides promotional pieces to display in the golf shop along with contact forms for your members to receive more information. Junior Tour

Created in 2002, the Georgia PGA Junior Tour is designed to teach the values of sportsmanship, honesty, self-discipline, integrity and competitive spirit through the game of golf. This will be accomplished by conducting a series of competitions on some of the state’s finest courses and with the highest level of professionalism. The membership-based tour is a competitive, yet fun atmosphere for juniors ages 11-18 with aspirations to compete in college.

Rules & Etiquette School

Interactive Etiquette and Rules Schools with PowerPoint Presentations with video given by Georgia PGA Professionals and/or Georgia PGA Foundation volunteers that allow as many juniors as possible to attend from the surrounding areas including middle and high school golfers. All juniors receive a copy of The Rules of Golf. We also provide an Etiquette and Rules School Quiz that can be given at the end of the presentation or by a coach later on. The quiz is kept by the juniors to use as a reference and learning tool.
